Presently I am helping out my mum in Central France.
Near Hofn, Iceland 95 above left & right.
Pigne d'Arolla, Switzerland 02 below & Alpine route planning b.right.Krakow teashop winter 07 left, and a spot of night cooking on year long Advanced Survival Course .

I've been an adventure sports instructor; teaching rock climbing, surfing, kayaking and abseiling. I've worked for some years as an apprentice of Tibetan Medicine at the Eden Medical Centre in London, learning and practising Herbal Medicine, Massage and Acupressure. I lived on a glacier in Iceland for several weeks when I was 16yrs old, with the British Schools Exploration Society and since then have gravitated towards Alpine Climbing - completing the Alpine Apprenticeship in Switzerland in '02 with the renowned Plas Y Brenin Mountain Outdoor Centre. I have a background in Ecological Living helping to set up a housing co-op and living in various fields (literally) implementing renewable energy, permaculture and living machines and planting a lot of trees.

I have a background in Ecological Living helping to set up a housing co-op and living in various fields (literally) implementing renewable energy, permaculture and living machines and planting a lot of trees. When I was nine years old I had to attend a special school 'Pilgrims' because of crippling eczema and asthma, which I have overcome oddly enough the reason I got into this school was not because I was so ill (pretty much on my way out) but because my IQ was 149+, which goes to show that means testing has some use after all. I have also overcome M.E or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which I contracted age eighteen. With the help of Christopher Hansard and Stephanie Wright of the Eden Medical Centre, London and their expertise in Tibetan Medicine I was able to fully recover.
I have been a Sales Manager for a Recycling Box Scheme, lived at the Ecovillage HQ of Canada, and worked as a Product Advisor for Karrimor Adventure Stores in Soho. I was also a waitress and food bar manager when I was 15, sold karate lessons door-to-door, catered for 300 people on retreats and la
st Summer I travelled around Somerset with a horse and c
art and then followed that randomly with grape picking in Provence with about 20 Moroccans, I believe I learnt more Arabic than French.
I've also volunteered with a local veggie box scheme, been Press Officer for Oxfam, run workshops, organised conferences and spent a lot of time planting seeds and pulling leeks and carrots.
Last year I went to Krakow, Poland and ate lots of pyrogi. I have worked in a stable near Bramley, England - looking after about forty hungry horses. This year I have needed everything I have learned about positivity. Recently I have been helping out the Ripa European Centre and setting up an International Fund for peace in the Middle East with www.allmep.org

Welcome
Hi, I'm glad you've found the Positive Impact Living Lifeskills pages.
'Positive Impact Living' is the term I use to describe the practical methods we can use to collectively improve our lives. That means that if you implement the methods outlined in any one of my articles you will have a Positive Impact in your own life and in the lives of everyone around the world. Each of these methods doesn't just reduce the negative impact that our lifestyles have on the world but actual provides real positive energy in the form of activating your full potential; integrating renewable energy, and actively solving international issues like social and environmental degradation. This is a process and one that I am also participating in. I have a vast background of seeking out solutions that work and though I haven't implemented all of these methods I am doing so and sharing my progress as I develop this site - so we're in this together.
The PILLS pages provide articles on building your own renewable energy systems and related sustainable technology; a free online homestudy Bushcraft/Survival Course to complement actual workshops run by Survival Schools and other articles about personal development, fitness and health. You can either browse through all my articles or check out the categories.
The idea is that you leave this site with the inspiration and tools to carry out changes that will really help you. I appreciate and value all feedback and you can contact me at my e-mail:- louisembrookes@hotmail.com
If you are inspired by this site you can make a donation
Thanks for coming and enjoy! Louise
